Sources of HIS inputs:
In addition to the housing information that is generated by HUDC itself, HUDC collect housing information from many other national agencies. Following are the sources of information related to the outputs displayed in this site:
 
1. Housing and Urban Indicators:
These indicators are the result of a large amount of gathered data from various institutions by the HUDC. For example, the median of house price to median household income includes median sale price for a house. This figure is calculated from the records registered in the Department of Land and Survey, while the median household income calculated from the family income and expenditure survey, which is carried out by the Department of Statistics.
 
2. Housing Need Assessments:
The HUDC prepare these assessments according to the results of housing and population census and surveys, which are carried out by the Department of Statistics.
 
3. Housing Production:
The sources of this sector are from:
  • Building Licenses Census which is carried out yearly by the Department of Statistics.
  • Jordan Engineers Association.
 
4. Real –Estate Market:
The source of this sector is from the Department of Land and Surveys.
 
5. Housing Finance:
The HUDC collect number and amount of housing loans from various banks, developers, housing funds, companies and corporations.
 
6. Land Use:
The HUDC gathers data from main municipalities.
 
7. Building Material Prices:
The HUDC collect Building Material Prices from the market.
